It is an implementation crisis
"There will be 1 Billion people homeless by 2050." (many without a passport)
Governments, nations, and international bodies are not structured to deal with the scope of this challenge inside this tight time frame. Even if we were able to reduce the worst outcomes by means we do not yet in place yet and lower that estimate by as much as 90%, we would still have a refugee crisis 100 X the size of Syrian Crisis of the 2010's that destabilized the world. We are about to live in a partially nomadic world, and we have no infrastructure plan for it.
We believe it is now up to the social entrepreneurs of the world to build a new infrastructure and turn this crisis into an opportunity. We intend to produce a zero-downpayment sustainable housing solution that is portable, can grow its own food from its water derived from the atmosphere, without needing energy from a grid. We need housing that is self sustainable, can reside on land or water, all by itself, or in collectives with others like it. Our mission over the next 7 years is to gather the experts to produce this result in a new Manhattan style survival project for the 21st century.
"We have an implementation crisis, not an innovation crisis"
The good news about this is that we have all the technology we need. It is just not combined well enough.
We can 3D print homes. We can produce abundant clean, fresh water from the air, and powered only by sunlight. and once we have fresh water, we can grow food, in plant, protein and mushrooms. Yes, today's existing technology, some of it patented, and some in commercial use already, can produce food and water in the desert. This is real in 2024. If we can 3D print a 3000 square foot home loaded with this technology out of the gate, we will not only provide housing to homeless, we will provide them a way to earn an income from that dwelling as well, giving people a way to become net-plus contributors even if they are refugees.
